George Slaughter is an award-winning professional writer with 23 years of experience. He has long been active with professional and community service organizations, most notably the Society for Technical Communication. His work has appeared in numerous publications.

George earned his M.A. in Technical Communication from Texas Tech University in 2003. He earned his A.A.S. in Industrial Engineering Technology (with honors) from Fox Valley Technical College, and his B.A. in Communication (Journalism) from Stephen F. Austin State University.
