George Slaughter is the author of the newly-released Spring Branch from Arcadia Publishing. The book is a photographic history of the Spring Branch area of Houston, and features stories and photographs culled from previously unpublished collections.
Slaughter's historical essays and reviews have appeared in the Handbook of Texas Online and Southwestern Historical Quarterly. He is a member of the Texas State Historical Association.
Slaughter has produced award-winning technical documentation, both online and in print, for numerous companies. He has served as President of the Houston chapter of the Society of Technical Communication (STC), and has held numerous other leadership positions within STC, both at the local and international levels. He is a frequent contributor to STC publications and has presented at numerous conferences and meetings.
Forthcoming works
In addition to promoting Spring Branch, Slaughter continues to prepare articles for the Handbook of Texas Online and STC.
