George Slaughter is the author of forthcoming book Images of America: Spring Branch, to be published by Arcadia Publishing.

Slaughter is a writer and former journalist whose work has appeared in both magazines and newspapers. As a historian and member of the Texas State Historical Association, he has written about local history, political figures, and sports. His work has appeared in the Handbook of Texas Online and the Southwestern Historical Quarterly.

When he is not writing researching and writing about history, Slaughter is a senior technical writer at The Integrity Group, a documentation, training, and marketing communications company. He is a senior member of the Society for Technical Communication and a past president of its Houston chapter.
